The hospitalization of Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati, the daughter of the King of Thailand, has prompted a widespread show of concern and support from people and organizations throughout the country. The princess became ill while participating in the Thailand Working Dog Championship, an event sponsored by the Royal Thai Army, in Nakhon Ratchasima on Wednesday. She received initial medical care at the scene before being transported by helicopter to the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in Bangkok for further treatment.
In response to the news, the Department of Religious Affairs organized prayers and encouraged other religious organizations to hold similar ceremonies to pray for the princess's recovery. The heads of Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity in Thailand also called on their followers to offer prayers for the princess's health.
In addition to these outpourings of support, the Royal Household Bureau has set up an online platform where people can send their well wishes for the princess's recovery. These expressions of concern and support have been met with gratitude by Their Majesties the King and Queen, who visited the princess at the hospital on Friday.
